How is a girl to react when her fiance seems to spend a lot of time hanging around with beautiful young women? Should she turn her attentions instead to some of the rather dim Peers of the Realm, who have, en masse, developed a schoolboy-like crush on her? Why does a group of fairies, used to life in a woodland dell, suddenly have such a strong interest in politics? And why do they bear such a striking resemblance to the Lord Chancellor's entourage of female wards?
Add in some of Gilbert's best-loved characters and Sullivan's catchy tunes, and the stage is set for an enjoyable evening of music and humour.
